SUMMARY:Fundraising Event to Honour the Queen's York Rangers - Aurora Cultural Centre
DESCRIPTION:David Onley, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, will visit Aurora on May 11 to attend a levee in honour of the Queen's York Rangers. The fundraising event, which will be held at the Aurora Cultural Centre, will go towards the Queen's York Rangers Association's establishment of a benevolent fund for soldiers who have served with the regiment. "We will be honouring the men and women who over the past few years have served in a number of combat zones around the world and all Rangers who have spent many, many months and years of their lives away from their families, away from their loved ones, training to protect all that we hold dear to our lives," said Councillor Chris Ballard at last week's council. https://taur.ecclesiact.com/2011/05/11/fundraising-event-to-honour-the-queens-york-rangers-aurora-cultural-centre
