DESCRIPTION:The Easter Seals Run/Walkathon founded by Joe Persechini is York Region’s longest running fundraiser for children and youth with physical disabilities. In 34 years, this popular event has raised $3.5 million to help Easter Seals kids.    Set in beautiful Newmarket, the run’s home base is Upper Canada Mall (Yonge Street & Davis Drive). The Run/Walkathon spans 10km. For runners, the event is accredited by the Ontario Track & Field Association as a Class A 10 KM race.    Participants of all ages and abilities are called to take part, – kids and their parents, grandparents, neighbours and co-workers! This Sunday morning fundraiser for Easter Seals kids is known for it’s upbeat warm-up and energizing atmosphere. It’s a great time for all!
