Unveiling of a Memorial Stone - Lt. Col. Graham - Aurora Cemetery

Date: Sat 18th Sep 2010
Time: From 2:00pm

Details:
You are invited to attend the unveiling of a memorial stone which has been erected to commemorate the lives of Lt. Col. William Graham and his wife Eunice.

The Graham home farm was on lot 76 & 77 north of the Vandorf Rd. on Yonge St., containing the War memorial land, the former Graham burial ground for the family, and the former Jack Woods home, Crescentbrook Farm, built by Adam Graham, the twin son of Lt. Col. Graham.  The house most recently has been a daycare centre. The bodies of the Graham family were moved to the Aurora Cemetery in 1887 by William Graham's grandson Alfred Graham.

The 'Restore the Stone Committee' has invited Mayor Phillis Morris, who has accepted, and Doug Grant, the newsletter editor from the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada. Representatives from the Whitchurch-Stouffville museum will also be present.
