Fungi--as important to the forest as are the trees. Learn to identify many of the fascinating mushrooms and other fungi found on the Oak Ridges Moraine.
Suitable for all levels of experience, the workshop will spend part of the day in the forest with the remainder spent in KSR’s teaching laboratory identifying the specimens we have collected. Discussion will range from fungal natural history, to traditional uses, to deciphering their scientific names.
