Invitation to the Aurora Torch Of Life Launch - Let’s make Aurora Proud!
We would like to invite everyone to join Step By Step’s launching of its 8th campaign SOS THE WORLD. Step By Step is a charity, dedicated to promote organ & tissue donations and hopefully save lives by empowering Students to carry the Torch Of Life worldwide. The famous Torch Of Life that is being relayed was blessed by Pope John Paul II on Sep 5 2001, when he proclaimed that Organ & tissue donations was a Genuine Act of Love and encouraged us to let the students carry it and be the spokespersons; His legacy was to bring all faiths & cultures together to address the major issues of the day.
SOS THE WORLD begins on February 27 2011 in Washington DC and will continue through 100 countries on a 4 year journey.
On December, 9 2010, the Torch Of Life is arriving in Aurora. The Torch trek begins at 8:30 am @ Cardinal Carter HS and will be relayed and stopping off at 15 schools until it finishes at St Andrews College at 1:45 pm. The route is a total of about 25 km. We are hoping to get local & national attention so we can inspire many more people to become organ & tissue donors.
