One Day Without Shoes is an idea brought on by the shoe company TOMS shoes. The idea is, to go for one day without shoes to raise awareness for the 40% of the worlds population who goes shoeless every day. Also to make people aware of TOMS and what they do. TOMS shoes is a shoe company that donates one pair of shoes to a person in need, for every shoe sold. At Dr. GW. Williams SS, a few friends and I are organizing a One Day Without Shoes at our school. We will be giving announcements starting next week and putting posters encouraging kids to go the day with no shoes in the school, there will also be screenings of the TOMS documentary (story of TOMS shoes and how it came to be, what the company does etc.) as well as orchestrating a few activities. It would be great to get the message out tho the comunitie, so please give me a shout to talk more about One Day Without Shoes at Williams!
