Join John Hicks from York-Simcoe Amateur Astronomers for a presentation about The Beauties of the Night Sky : Observed by Eye, Binocular or Telescope. John will be at the Newmarket Public Library to discuss how to find objects in the sky by understanding a few basics such as where the North Star is and how to read a night sky map to locate various constellations. Cost of the program is $2.00 per person. You can pre-register to insure you get a seat by visiting the Library's Adult Reference Department or calling 905-953-5110, ext. 4770. This program is suitable for adults and children 9 years of age and older with an interest in astronomy.
