The Music at Sharon Festival has confirmed more details for its beautiful summer festival, taking place on the last Sunday in May, and all Sundays in June at the historical Sharon Temple. The audience is invited to pre-concert chats (included in ticket price) with Rick and/or Larry at 1:30 PM in the Temple and when possible, the featured soloists. Audience members are welcome to peruse the beautiful grounds, and take in the historical displays of life from the 1820s.
June 26: Since its founding in 1972, the Toronto Consort has become internationally recognized for its excellence in the performance of medieval, renaissance and early baroque music. For Music at Sharon, Toronto Consort, as lead by David Fallis, present a program entitled "Shakespeare's Songbook", featuring songs and dances from the plays of the immortal bard.
Sharon Temple is a beautiful National Historic Site located just north of Newmarket. An intimate 230-seat venue, the Sharon Temple is renowned for its acoustics, architectural ambience, and the serene beauty of the surroundings.
Directions to 18974 Leslie Street, Sharon, Ontario: Take Highway 404 north to its end. Turn left (west) on Green Lane for 1 km. Turn right (north) on Leslie for 2 km. The Sharon Temple is on the west side. There is ample free parking.
