The 7th Annual Children’s Health Festival is returning this year on Saturday September 17th 2011. The goal of this event is to promote children’s health, wellness and safety as well as raise funds for ChildFind Ontario, a nonprofit registered charity dedicated to reducing the incidence of missing and exploited children. The KidCheck Program is offered at the event by ChildFind Ontario and educates parents regarding information necessary in case of an emergency.
This non-profit event promises to entertain an audience of more than 3500 people including upwards of 1000 kids. The first 750 kids receive a fantastic loot bag filled with goodies. Dr. Darren, among other chiropractors will be providing posture checks and scoliosis screenings for children. This will also be an opportunity to meet a variety of health professionals and learn about how they can help children and families achieve optimal health: A Children’s Dentist, Optometrist, Naturopathic Doctor, Alternative Practitioner and Registered Massage Therapists. This event also features a free BBQ and delicious organic food and drinks from local businesses and food companies.
