Suitable for all levels of experience, learn to identify many of the fascinating mushrooms and other fungi found at this time of year on the Oak Ridges Moraine. The first part of the day will consist of a guided walk and gathering specimens, after which we will return to the classroom to identify our fungal finds. Discussions throughout the day will range from fungal natural history and ecology, to various uses and deciphering of the scientific names. Each participant will receive a species checklist plus an extensive list of resources. Bring any field guides you have.
Instructor: Richard Aaron, Naturalist.
