After a bleak and miserable childhood, Jane Eyre escapes her past and is hired as a governess for a wealthy young ward. Living happily in her new position, she meets the master of the house, the abrupt and cold Edward Rochester. As the two characters form an unlikely friendship, the young Jane soon finds herself falling in love with the troubled older gentleman. Starring Mia Wasikowska (The Kids Are All Right, Alice in Wonderland) as the titular heroine, and Michael Fassbender (Fish Tank, Inglorious Basterds) as the dark and mysterious Edward Rochester, Jane Eyre is a wildly emotional story of romance, drama and dark secrets.
